Lisette Walser (formerly Alent) is a professional grant writer with over 13 years of experience in researching, writing and administering competitive grants and contracts. Over this time, she has helped raise over $82,000,000 in grant and contract funding for universities, nonprofits, public entities, and small businesses.

Lisette’s experience is supported by a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology and minor in Health Science from Eastern Washington University. Lisette was also one of the first in the nation to earn the Research Administrators Certification Council’s Pre-Award Research Administrators certification and has helped other administrators earn their certification. Lisette founded Upwords (now doing business as “InteGrant”) in 2017 and is the co-founder and CEO of Four Roots LLC, a regional food hub and food access provider for Eastern Washington.

Prior to this, Lisette was a founding member and Executive Director of the Inland Northwest Farmers Market Association, Grant & Contract Coordinator for Washington State University, and Grant Administrator for the Community Colleges of Spokane Foundation.

Over the course of her career, Lisette has attained and maintained one of the highest rates of grant application success in the nation with an average “win rate” of 60% (compared to the national average of 12-20%), and through her track record of success, has helped many nonprofit organizations raise awareness, funds and operational support that have sustained and grown their missions. She now serves as a guest speaker and helps train the next generation of grant writers and fundraising professionals.

Although she has written grant applications spanning just about any and every topic, she specializes in supporting causes related to agriculture, food systems, youth programs, land use/conservation, as well as the arts & humanities. In her personal life, Lisette enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and two dogs. She loves cooking, spending time outdoors, listening to live music and gardening.

Seth Walser, InteGrant’s Chief Operations Officer, is a professional grant writer. His experience includes preparation and administration of grant awards in education, environmental conservation, food security, and agriculture. Previously a regenerative farmer, Seth now unites his love for writing with advocacy for helping his community. Along with navigating the technical complexities of grant applications and contract negotiations, he offers his talents to help organizations tell their stories with authenticity, track outcomes, and build lasting relationships with funding partners.

“Hi, I’m Beck, Grant Writing Consultant with InteGrant.”

Rebecca (Beck) serves as a Grant Writer and Award Administration Consultant with InteGrant. Beck has 30+ years of experience writing and managing grants in the nonprofit and small business sectors. Her experience is supported by a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology, graduate degrees in Urban Studies and English with a concentration in Law and Public Policy. She has been a Certified Grants Specialist since 2000. Her career successes cover diverse areas such as housing, drug elimination, youth sports, health, low-income housing, energy, technology, K-12 education improvement, disabilities, and a plethora of social service programs.

Representing a success rate of approximately 85%, at least 159 of the applications she has written have been awarded at a combined $421,510,000. These grants have been awarded by federal, state, and local governments as well as foundations and corporate funders. Beck has provided startup, strategic planning and writing, budget analysis, grant-writing training and grants administration services to nonprofits. Her post-award work includes writing standard operating procedures, administrative handbooks, and board manuals for nonprofits to establish structure, improvement, and accountability processes. She is a pre- and post-award compliance expert. She loves the challenge of “getting it right”, being compliant, and helping clients secure grant awards for the communities they serve. Beck has extensive experience of USDA Broadband Technical Assistance (BTA) and rural connectivity programs, and has been InteGrant’s primarily consulting liaison with TEDD since 2024.

“Hi, I’m Chris, Grant Writing Consultant with InteGrant.”

Chris serves as a Grant Writer and Project Management Consultant with InteGrant. Chris has supported nonprofit, corporate and government agencies across the Front Range of Colorado and multiple states and municipalities through both short and long-term projects. Chris is highly proficient in federal grant procurement, grant management, technical writing and project management, serving clients in Solar and Renewable Energy, Healthcare and Human Services, Healthy Housing, and Workforce Development with an eye toward innovation, collaboration, sustainability and the challenges of replication, scaling and expansion. Chris’s experience is supported by a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with a focus in international relations, from Northern Illinois University.

“Hi, I’m Hope, Grant Writing Consultant with InteGrant.”

Hope Burch has a proven track record of success in grant writing and fundraising, with experience in identifying funding opportunities, writing grant proposals, and managing federally awarded grants. She has worked with both government agencies and nonprofit organizations to secure funding for a variety of programs. In her role as Grants Manager for the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, she oversaw and assisted with the organization's grant requirements and application process, conducted research to identify funding opportunities, and directly participated in grant writing. She also has experience in budget planning and allocation, as well as monitoring and reporting on grant-funded projects. Her expertise in grant writing and fundraising has been instrumental to InteGrant’s client roster in supporting the operational and financial needs of the organizations and their grant-funded programs.
